This goes under the category of, why didn’t I think of that? Colin Fitz-Gerald runs a roofing company in Cape Cod, MA. He decided that he wanted to take that business in a new direction. So he started RoofShout.com. He is looking for customers to advertise on roofs. What makes this idea interesting is how much Google and Microsoft have pushed their mapping software and online mapping.
He would lay a base of housewrap on the roof and use a VERY large legible text so that websites like Google Maps would be able to zoom in on the ad! There are companies that are running ads near airports so that passengers can see the ads. With the advent of Google Maps, now the ads can be anywhere! Who knows, maybe this idea will work.
