According to sources, VW has not confirmed nor denied the fact that they have been talking with Google to incorporate their use of satellite imagery for their new nav systems. Could this be the move that makes Google a standard on the navigation systems? I mean Google Maps has already been awesome and Google Earth is simply amazing. No those were not shameless plugs to make Google’s stock stop plummeting. Anyways, it would simply be amazing to see this in a vehicle. I could really see Google’s investment into local Wi-Fi spots taking off now. I can see it now VW Jetta Google Edition.
