Not that this was a surprise to anyone, but the Red Sox have surpassed last years mark at this time by about 56,000 tickets. The Red Sox front office has stated that it will offer tickets to more families and fans than to secondary ticketing (scalpers). Last Year, they sold over 2.8 million tickets. They are hoping they will surpass the 2.8 million mark this year. They have sold out a record 226 consecutive regular-season games. That is the second best in Major League history. I think Cleveland may have first place when Jacobs Field opened. New this year, will be a lottery for anyone to enter this year to get Monster seats or the Right Field Roof box. Details have not been released.
