Good Online Shopping Practices

I was surfing the web last night for a case for my iPod Nano. I found this great frosted looking one from Agent18.com. This case is probably the slimmest and most unobtrusive case that I have seen. So I began to the checkout process and then though to myself, “How can I SAVE some money on this?” Here’s what I did.

I immediately consulted Google and searched for coupons for the retailer that I am purchasing this item from. And Voila! Instant savings on the case. There are many forums out there that post coupon codes and discounts for users of the forum. Most of the time you don’t even need to sign up for the forum. I found a 40% off coupon and got a great deal on the case. The discount pretty much just covered the shipping costs of the item, but hey, 6 bucks is 6 bucks right?

So before you go and finish the checkout process, just do a quick peruse of google or your fave search engine and find some existing coupon codes for the online retailer. You’ll be surprised at how many there are out there. The moral of the story is, Never pay retail.
