Canon SD430 Wireless Digicam

Kodak watch your backs! Just when Kodak announces a wireless digital camera, Canon fires back and comes up with a slick all-in-one wireless SD430 package. While Kodak’s camera features a 4MP and a wifi SD card add-on, the Canon boasts a 5.3 MP and built-in wifi capability. Here are some of its features.

The Canon will now allow you to automagically download the pictures to your computer as you take them. This could mean the end of media as we know it! Well, not really, but hoping for something like that doesn’t hurt. If you were to take a picture somewhere and you were near a hotspot; you can download the files right to your desktop over wifi. And with the help of some of the Canon software, you can control your camera through your desktop. That’s pretty slick. At $100 less than the Kodak Easyshare-One ($500) and an integrated wifi system, i’d say it’s going to put Kodak out of business quicker than Haliburton can raise gas prices. This may be the beginning of something great.
