Cingular Rolls Out High Speed Data Access

You’ve heard of Sprint/Nextel will eventually roll out their own high speed. Phoenix and Seattle are the first two cities that will have Cingular’s high speed 3G. Many people thought that Cingular’s system was years off and will not be ready until sometime in the next 2-5 years. Competition is needed to drop the price of cellular high speed. Currently, Verizon’s service is 59.99/month (Cingular’s is $40/month) for unlimited service, but you need to buy a $150 compatible PCMCIA card. But guess what, you can have up to 2 MB down from anywhere there is cellular service. Nerds UNITE!
