An Italian archaeologist used Google Maps to discover some ruins. He seemed to be looking around on Google Maps one night and discovered this discolored patch on the ground and wanted to pursue it. He thought to himself that it might be an undiscovered ruin. And once he got there, his assumptions were correct. The actual ruins could be seen on the maps, but to the trained eye, the discoloration of the Earth would be a clue. Thanks again Google.
