House Hunting Part 5

I am still looking for the perfect house. Recently, the lenders that offered me some lower rates keep calling me to discuss if I had found a house yet. And of course, I say no. Here in downtown Baltimore, there are many houses that are quite affordable, but the houses are all rehabs. These rehabs need about 50K worth of work to actually be liveable.

There is this thing called ground rent in the city. This is an actual fee that you pay to the city for using their ground! No Joke! Out in the county, you have housing association, parks and rec and even maintenance fees in some cases. All in the name of buying a house, I guess.

So the search goes on for a house that I would like to buy and with a great rafting trip coming up, it’s gonna make it even more difficult. ;) Gauley here we come!

Buying a house is for suckers… don’t buy into the hype. Eventually the government will swoop in, steal your house, and put in a casino. Don’t be a sucker. Don’t buy a house.
