It seems that the new desktop computer fad has been widgets. This may not be new to some of you, but you Mac users have seen the new widget application in OS X Tiger. These widgets make life easier and can actually allow you to do things quickly if you find the right widget. For those of you that enjoy Calvin and Hobbes, there is a widget that will display a new Calvin and Hobbes comic everyday. This isn’t just for you Mac heads out there, but there is a widget app called Konfabulator for you PC guys and gals.
I can check my gmail and even have Yoda on my desktop in a tough pose giving me a new Yoda-ism everyday or everytime I double-click him. I really suggest checking these doo-hickeys out. It will bring out a little nerd in us all. There’s a widget for just about everyone.
