My Masters Capstone Project

Recently, I have been revisiting my business plan and want to make my captsone project happen. I am not going to post what exactly the project is, but those of you that were my colleagues know. Soon the idea is going to come to fruition. We had a nice discussion with Jennifer Kronstain, who is part of the Abelson Group now, in our New Media program at Syracuse and I pitched the idea to her. She was the one behind AOL TV. She gave me some insight and here’s what she said.

The project will be a brand new interactivity to all sporting events. The application/service will not b elimited to just sporting events, but it can be expanded to car navigation systems and possibly in-flight service. So I rekindled my fire for the project and spoke with Jennfier. It has only been one email deep, but it’s a head start on something. She seemed genuinely interested in the project and asked for some more information.

The medium that is going to be used to deliver the service will be just about anything that can access dynamic data. (Tablet PC, PDA, Cell Phones etc.) I was reworking the project and found many flaws in how the design would be implemented. I gave her some information that she asked for and I’m generally just looking for advice. How to deal with VC’s (Venture Capitalists) and if I deal with one; how much of the project I would technically own. This story is to be continued…
